Background:
Austen grew up in Biggleswade but has lived in many parts of the UK and has only recently returned to the ‘wade’. Austen is an amateur photographer but has had work published in the Boston Times Massachusetts, used in Nottingham’s Tourism campaign, and many regional newspapers and other publications.

Inspiration:
The natural world, people, unusual compositions, and unusual subjects. He has travelled across the USA particularly the southern states, and has also travelled to the Middle East, visiting Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Egypt, and Lebanon.

Techniques:
Austen shoots both film and digital photos, and uses computer software to enhance his shots.
